Tips for a Safe and

Healthy Workout

  • Always stretch before and after every workout
  • Never work out on an empty stomach
  • Be sure to stay hydrated throughout your entire workout
  • If you need assistance, don't be afraid to ask
  • Please wear proper attire during your workout
  • Maintain a healthy diet and active lifestyle
  • To help keep our facility clear and germ-free, please wash your hands and wipe down machines when finished









The over 4,000 sq ft. Fitness Room at the Central-Clemson Recreation Center offers over 60 different machines to help you get in shape.  In addition, we have free weights, stretching mats, medicine balls, and swiss balls.




 Policies and Procedures

  • Patrons must be at least 15 years old or older to use the Fitness Room
  • Open-toed shoes are not permitted when working out
  • Please sign in at the desk when using the facility
  • Please do not drop the weights

  • All members are entitled to a full orientation fo the Fitness Room.  Please see the front desk to schedule an appointment
  • Please turn off all cell phones as to not disturb other patrons.  Cell phone usage is permitted in the lobby outside the Fitness Room
  • Spring collars must be used on the bench press, incline press, decline press, and curl bar
  • Please use a spotter when working out on the bench press, incline press, decline, press, and curl bar
  • Please use the hand towels that are provided to wipe down each machine when you are finished using it (Please spray towel, then wipe machine)
  • Restrooms are located in the back of the Fitness Room, in the hallway
  • If you would like the TV channel or radio station changed, please see someone at the front desk
  • A handicap accessible elevator is located at the back of the Fitness Room
