SWIM LESSONS
The Central-Clemson Recreation center offers a progressive learn- to- swim program starting with toddlers and ending with adults. Our approach to swimming is to expose children to the water during their younger years when fear of the water is less of a distraction and keep them swimming into their adult years. Our goal is to develop proficient swimmers of all ages, reduce the fear of water and educate on the dangers associated with open waters.
Individual Swim Lessons
Our PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS offer the ultimate level of convenience and personalization for you and your child. You are hand matched with one of our instructors by our aquatics coordinator and together you and your instructor work out a schedule that is best suited for you. All lessons are one-on-one, allowing us to tailor each lesson to your child.

I have seen huge improvements in Eli's comfort level in the water and am happy with the continued progress he is making with Ellen as he learns to navigate through the water. Before he began getting his lessons at CCRC, Eli was very nervous about being in the water and would cling to me. Now, he is excited to come to swim lessons and get in the water. Not only does he love to jump in, but he also is comfortable holding his breath underwater and is making strides in swimming small distances across the pool without assistance. Ellen displays patience, focus, great time-management, and thorough communication about upcoming lessons, scheduling, and feedback with each lesson. Highly recommend to other parents who are looking to get their child comfortable in the water.
Izzy is amazing! My daughter has progressed SO much in working with her! I have been so impressed with her patience and skill in teaching young kids! My daughter is learning life saving skills in the pool!

I chose to enroll both of my children in swim lessons mostly because my daughter was not comfortable or confident in the water. Apparently, all she needed was someone other than a parent to tell her she was doing great. Since the initial lesson, Sarah has taught them both so very much. I am incredibly grateful for as far as they have come and how much they will continue to learn. This whole experience has been simple and I will continue to highly recommend this to everyone I can!
My two children love taking swim lessons at CCRC. They have learned to be more confident in the water and are slowly learning to swim safely.

Nora took swim lessons from another private instructor with a different company and was absolutely terrified, crying every time she had a lesson. Her very first lesson with Ellen, she jumped right in and never shed a tear! Ellen has such a great personality and calming demeanor with the kids.
